Keith Ray is retired Associate Professor of Health and Wellness. He holds a doctorate in Adult Education from North Carolina State University, with concentrations in Psychology and Public Health from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
During his more than 30 years in higher education, Keith served in multiple roles in Academic and Student Affairs at UNC Asheville and UNC Chapel Hill. He coordinated the first UNC Chapel Hill Wellness Program, developed the Health and Wellness Promotion degree program at UNC Asheville, and served as Founding Director of the North Carolina Center for Health and Wellness at UNC Asheville.
His scholarship interests include assessment of learning outcomes, wellness in a liberal arts setting, health behavior, prevention of childhood obesity, stress management, and health promotion leadership.
