Stephanie began working as an Adjunct Instructor at UNCA in 2002. She attended Penn State University, earning a degree in Health Psychology. Following graduation, Stephanie attended The American University and earned a graduate degree in Health & Wellness Management. While in Washington, D.C, she worked at the Postal Service Headquarter's employee wellness program and then earned a Fellowship, managing the Staff & Student wellness program at the American University.
From 1992- 2005, Stephanie served as the Assistant Director of the Wellness Council of the Piedmont, and later the Executive Director of the Wellness Council of Western NC. This non-profit organization was funded by The Duke Endowment and Mission Health Care, providing the 39 business members in the Western Region with technical assistance for their employee wellness programs.
Whenever possible, Stephanie enjoys spending time in the mountains with her children and husband, hiking and exploring the expansive mountain landscapes.
